LCA believes that being distinctly Christian is the most important aspect of our school.  Our Christian education mission clearly states that we believe in academic excellence and in a partnership with the Christian family.  LCA believes that the Bible is clear in teaching that a child's education is the responsibility of parents. This means that when a family makes the decision to educate their child at LCA two things should happen: first, the school should partner with the family in being an open environment exposing the parents to the education being received by their child, and two, the school should provide the best possible education by being excellent in all things educational.

Bible is a regular part of each grade's core Christian curriculum because we believe strongly that God's Word will not come back void and it should be hidden in every child's heart. In Bible classes, students are provided with many opportunities to learn and apply biblical truth to their lives. Regular class instruction, planned activities, and our chapel program all provide students opportunities to grow in their faith. High school students study a full survey of the Old and New Testament. They also spend their junior and senior years studying worldviews, world religions, and preparing to live the Christian life as they head to college and careers.

The traditional model is based on teachers providing the main academic content and basic foundation for educational concepts once the student enters the K5 classroom.  Teachers prepare lessons for a five day a week model providing classroom instruction, assigning homework, quizzes, tests and projects that are part of the curriculum for each grade level and content area.  Normally, students receive instruction in Bible, English, Math, History, Science, Physical Education and the Arts at a minimum.
