    LCAs First Spring Musical
The LCA musical theatre class rallied to stage "My Fair Lady" on May 8th and 9th.  The tiny cast of a dozen, led by seniors Seth Carey, Stephen Noll, Anna & Abby Mumpower, and Lex Parker, shone in its ability to sing, dance, and act while using British dialects and difficult dialogue.  Ava Ellis, a sophomore, delighted us in her first lead role in a musical.  Fellow sophomore Brice Bennett literally donned multiple hats in multiple roles, as did the remainder of the cast, Ethan Jay, Kayla Martin, Lauren Bachman, Nicholas Leggiero, and Brooke Leggiero.       In this first musical theatre production, the university and traditional models came together to work outside their normal schedule, despite academic and spring sports commitments.  They worked long hours together, worked through lunches, and spent countless hours working at home on long, difficult passages.  The resulting production revealed their wit and insight.   The show would not have been possible without the additional direction from Scott Fugate and the beautiful costuming by Carol Peck.  The community also contributed to the production with furnishings from Aardvark Antiques and pianos from Lancaster Piano.
