Alan Bunn- Upper School Music Teacher

Tell us about your education journey?

I received my Bachelor of Music from the  University of Georgia as well as my Master of Music Education.

How long have you taught/served in Education?

I have been in music education for 33 years.

–How many years have you been with your LCA family?

This is my first year at LCA, 2022.

–What church do you attend and how do you serve?

I attend Oconee Presbyterian Church and serve as the pianist/accompanist.

–Tell us about your family?

I have a wife, Laurie who is the music teacher at East Jackson Elementary in Jackson County, and my daughter, Emily is a freshman at East Jackson High School in Jackson County.

–Tell us something about you we would be surprised to know?

I roast my own coffee, and I don’t do social media.

-What attracted you to LCA?

Being a public school teacher for 32 years. Now I can actually talk about my faith in class without fear of repercussions.

– What is the biggest desire that you hope students will take from your classroom?

A love and passion for music, singing, Christ, and each other.
