We attend Gainesville First United Methodist Church serving as a service project volunteer and VBS leader

–Tell us about your family?

I have been married to my husband Brian for 19 years and we have two children, Eli and Alden, who are currently in the 11th and 8th grades. Eli started at Heritage Academy in 2nd grade and Alden started at Heritage as a 1st grader. We live in Clermont with our 3 dogs, 6 cats, and 11 chickens.

-What attracted you to LCA?

As a parent, we loved the idea of the University Model and smaller class sizes, but the most important factor was to be taught within a Biblical worldview. We love the personal relationships between the faculty and students where everyone knows your name, prays for you, and the kids have an opportunity to grow up together. As a teacher, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to be a part of getting to know these kids better, praying for them and with them, and having a small part in preparing them for the next steps in their lives.

– What is the biggest desire that you hope students will take from your classroom?

I hope my students know that I am in their corner and that I pray for each of them every morning. I want them to be successful in whatever they do next after they leave my classroom. I want to see them all do great things and will do whatever I can to help them reach their potential.
