Marianne Thomas- Upper School History Teacher
–Tell us about your education journey?
I received my B.A. in Education at Arizona State University and my Masters in Ed. Counseling/Human Relations at Northern Arizona University. I am currently working on an educational degree in . Organizational Leadership/Christian Ministry from Grand Canyon University.
–How long have you taught/served in Education?
I have been in music education for 15 years.
–How many years have you been with your LCA family?
This is my first year at LCA, 2022.
–What church do you attend and how do you serve?
Riverbend. I serve with my children and nonprofits at the Humane Society, Meals on Wheels, Family Promises, Rahab’s Rope, and Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
–Tell us about your family?
I have 2 children William and Logan and they both attend LCA, 3rd and 2nd grade. We love spending time together, attending sporting events, playing with our doodle Harry Potter and volunteering as a family.
–Tell us something about you we would be surprised to know?
I founded a non-profit for the adult special needs community in Hall County (Be3).
-What attracted you to LCA?
I wanted to be a part of building God’s kingdom through disciple-making and be a part of a school community that has an eternal focus!
– What is the biggest desire that you hope students will take from your classroom?
That they are loved, that they matter and that God made no mistakes when he created them, they were created for something AMAZING! Also, I’d love for them to internalize that culture changes but the Bible never does! Stand for the truth, know your worth, be bold and brave, and shine bright!
