Michelle Benhart - Upper School Science

Tell us about your education journey?

I received my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1998 from the University of Georgia and in 2000,  a Master’s of Education from UGA as well.

How long have you taught/served in Education?

have been in education for 15 years in different capacities.

–How many years have you been with your LCA family?

This is my first year at LCA, 2022.

–What church do you attend and how do you serve?

We attend Hopewell Baptist Church and Chestnut Mountain Church.

–Tell us about your family?

I have been married for 14 years to my wonderful husband Henry. We began as a blended family. He was a single father to a teenage daughter and I was a single mom to a teenage son. We had two daughters together, who now attend LCA in the 4th and 8th grades.

–Tell us something about you we would be surprised to know?

I grew up on a farm in Walton county and I love to grow things.

– What is the biggest desire that you hope students will take from your classroom?

I want them to see God in everything.
