Traditional Model and University Model - Lower School

What a great privilege and opportunity it is to partner with Christian parents to lay a strong foundation in the lives of their young children!  Elementary students are enthusiastic about life, open to understanding spiritual truths, and motivated to learn.  The elementary education program at Lanier Christian Academy takes advantage of this characteristic curiosity as we instruct students in the basic building blocks of language arts, math, science, history, and Bible.

Once the foundation for learning has been laid, students experience success and a lifelong love of learning.  They are prepared to gain deeper and broader knowledge and wisdom from a biblical worldview.  Other enrichment programs are offered to elementary students in fine arts, visual arts, technology skills, and physical fitness.

Students are instructed by teachers who are specifically educated and trained to teach young children.  They use effective strategies and methods to develop student knowledge and skills. They are not only aware of the academic needs of each child, but they understand their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. These caring teachers also provide guidance as students develop socially and learn to relate to each other in a way that pleases God.

Lower School Principal

Traditional Model - Upper School

I am excited to serve as the Traditional Model Upper School Principal for Lanier Christian Academy.  I am deeply committed to what LCA has to offer students and making a positive difference in the lives of youth. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all students and providing supportive systems to assure they are met.

LCA offers a variety of academic offerings including Honors and Advanced Placementcourses, dual enrollment, and electives. In addition, we include a Spiritual Retreat in the fall, spring trips, local ministries outreach, and mission trips. Our students also develop and exhibit their talents in our successful athletic, performing arts, visual arts, and musical arts programs.

Our remarkable staff, involved parents, and committed students come together to make Lanier Christian a wonderful and unique place.

“We partner with our parents for students to be tomorrow’s Christ-centered, servant leaders; equipping students spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.”

We would be honored to have you visit our school to get a deeper understanding of our programs, culture, and community! I look forward to the opportunity of working with your student to help them achieve their goals in life.

University Model - Upper School

Dear Parents, Friends, and Students,

Our school mission statement is what drives our families, teachers, and administration at LCA, and we hope you will consider joining us. We believe each child has God-given uniqueness that we ought to nurture and encourage.

The ACSI, SACS accredited, and NAUM’s certified UM model at LCA is a proven alternative in Christian education. Our Upper School students (grades 7-12) attend our campus 3 weekdays, while working at home, the satellite campus, with parent oversight to complete teacher-prepared lessons on the remaining days.

“Partnering with parents to transform students to be tomorrow’s Christ-centered, servant leaders; equipping students spiritually, mentally, physically and socially to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.”

Offering a college preparatory education from a distinctly Christian worldview, we provide opportunities for students to live out their faith in class, extracurricular activities, leadership council, as well as mission and service opportunities.  Integration of Christian truths and a biblical worldview into the various subject areas is the norm at LCA. We want the love of Christ to be real to our students!

The involvement of parents is a keystone to the University Model.  The time parents have with their children in the faith-forming years is invaluable.  The success of this model is best accomplished with biblically-based, parentally-guided Christian faith in the satellite classroom at home coupled with excellent classroom instruction on campus. I hope you will visit LCA to see what we are all about.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or set up a time for your student to “shadow” within our classrooms.

Sincerely,

Becki Walters
UM Upper School Principal
