Welcome

A message from our new Head of School, David Roberts

What an amazing blessing it is to serve your family for the 2026-2027 school year! Our teachers and staff are so excited to partner with you to disciple your students to become Christ-centered servant leaders. As we partner with you along the way, we anticipate the Lord doing great things amongst us this school year.

3 John 1:4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the Truth.” Join us in praying that we see our students walking in His truth!

This is our vision for students: to see them Know Jesus, Grow in Jesus, and Show Jesus to the world around them.

You have a critical role in helping us see this vision come to fruition through your involvement in our school community, and we are excited to build a Christ-honoring school community with you.

We believe in Christ-centered education that integrates the Bible into every classroom and team. Christ-centered Growth is something we expect to see from every person on campus, whether they are a student, teacher, or staff member. Providing your family a Christ-centered Community is another one of our Core Values, as well as Christ-centered Service.

We are all working together to help make Disciple Makers through this amazing place called Lanier Christian Academy.

As I step into this new role as Head of School, I want to thank you, the Board, and Mr. Daniels, for trusting me with such a great honor. Serving the families of LCA has long been one of my greatest joys. I look forward to continuing this privilege in this new role.

Heavenly Father: please guide our steps, multiply our efforts, and bless our time together this year as we continue to “Make Disciple Makers” for Your glory and honor. May LCA continue to be a blessing to You! Amen!

David's Story

David brings 20 years of experience in education, including 19 years at Lanier Christian Academy, where his work has been shaped by a deep commitment to discipleship, leadership development, and investing in people. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minor in Sports Management from Liberty University, followed by a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Administration from Georgia Southern University.

Over the course of his career, David has served in senior leadership roles overseeing athletics, advancement, and strategic initiatives. During his time at LCA, he has worked closely with faculty, administration, and the Board of Trustees to support institutional growth, operational health, and long-term sustainability. His leadership experience includes team development, strategic planning, and collaboration across departments, preparing him well to serve as Head of School.

Professional growth has been a consistent priority. Through weekly leadership coaching with Zach Clark, Founder of Development and Leadership Coaching, David spent several years sharpening his leadership skills before being invited to serve as a coach alongside his mentor. In this role, he helps train leaders at Christian schools across the country in partnership with the Herzog Foundation, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to equipping and strengthening Christian educators.

At Lanier Christian Academy, David has played a key role in the school’s growth, most notably by helping raise $16.2 million since January 2018, which made possible the development and construction of LCA’s new campus. He has also contributed to initiatives that support enrollment growth, program development, and a strong Christ-centered culture. Among his most meaningful accomplishments is the launch of LCA’s discipleship program, reflecting a belief that Christian education must intentionally form both the mind and the heart.
Christian education, in David’s view, should prepare students academically while grounding them in a biblical worldview. His heart is to invest in people and to encourage students, faculty, and leaders to pursue excellence and live out who God has called them to be.

At the center of his leadership philosophy is a question often posed by his mentor, Zach Clark: “How can I be a person that God and people will trust with extraordinary resources to do extraordinary things?”

David and his wife, Justina, have been married for 19 years and are the parents of three children: Julianne (15), Brooks (14), and Moses (6). He is quick to credit Justina as his greatest supporter. Sharing, “Justina has always had an almost irrational belief that I could do things I never thought I could. Her belief in me is one of my biggest motivators.”

Outside of school, life is centered on family. David enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, old country music, and time together at home. Competitive by nature, he is known for making his kids earn every win on game night.

The family’s journey to North Georgia was unmistakably God-led. While David and Justina were interviewing at another Christian school, the Head of School unexpectedly told them, “You’re hired, but not for this school. I want you both to go to North Georgia Christian School.” Though they had never heard of Gainesville, Georgia, they followed that calling, and it is where God firmly planted their family and ministry 19 years ago.

Having served LCA in multiple leadership capacities for nearly two decades, David brings deep institutional knowledge and a clear understanding of the school’s mission. He is committed to carrying out the vision set forth by the Board of Trustees, a vision he helped shape, while continuing LCA’s longstanding commitment to partnering with parents.

In the years ahead, David looks forward to spending more intentional time with students—sharing meals, listening, and building relationships. He currently leads a discipleship group and speaks regularly in chapel, and he values those opportunities to connect with students beyond the classroom. With all three children involved in athletics, relationships with students and families are already a meaningful part of daily life.

He is also energized by continued collaboration with teachers and administration, recognizing that unified leadership, supported faculty, and intentional discipleship remain central to a thriving, Christ-centered school community. As Head of School, David will continue stewarding LCA’s mission with care and excellence while supporting academic growth, faculty development, and spiritual formation for generations to come.
