–What do you coach?

–What is your favorite thing about coaching?

I love that I can get to know the girls outside of the classroom. I have more opportunities to pour into them and watch them grow.

–How did you come to be a coach at LCA?

When I was hired to teach HS English, they had to fill the position of cheerleading coach as well, and that had always been a dream of mine.

I have been with my LCA family for 4 years.

–What is your #1 tip for athletes?

My number one tip for athletes is just to do the work.

–What’s the #1 thing you look for in an athlete?

Effort – you can always grow as an athlete if you’re willing to put in the effort, but if you’re not willing to try, it doesn’t matter how skilled you are because you can only go so far.

–What is your favorite Bible verse?

2 Corinthians 12:9 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

–If you could have one super power, what would it be?

Speak and understand every language.
