Event Details
As you are soaking up the last few moments of summer break, we want to communicate several important items to you that will be helpful over the next few weeks. In this email you’ll find details on LCA’s Back to School Blast, volunteer opportunities, and a special opportunity for prayer and community on our first day of school.
First, we want you to save the date for LCA’s Back to School Blast – Thursday, August 4th! This event is always an exciting time for our students, faculty, staff, and families to reunite as we prepare to come to our first day of school on Friday, August 5th.
TIMELINE:
1:00 – 2:00 – Lower School Classrooms will be open for students in grades K-5 to visit the classroom, drop off supplies, connect with their teacher, and locate their desk and cubbies.
2:00 – 3:00 – Big Group Meeting in CMC main sanctuary
3:00 – 4:00 – ALL STUDENTS are welcome to connect with new students and old friends. We will have King of Pops and Chick Fil A cookies available.
4:00 – 5:00 – Upper School Classrooms will be open for students in grades 6-12 to visit their classrooms and teachers.
5:00 – 6:00 – Big Group Meeting in CMC main sanctuary
BIG GROUP MEETING:
*It is very important that families join us in the CMC main auditorium for only 1 of the 2 scheduled big group meetings. The same information will be presented at both meetings. There are several important details regarding the first day of school that we want to share with you. We have been blessed to hire some incredible people to join our Faculty/Staff team, and will introduce them to you at this time. Additionally, we have exciting news regarding the progress on developing our new campus that we are excited to share.
VISITING CLASSROOMS:
* All supplies can be dropped off in 1 of 3 locations: Upper School Building with Mrs. Bennett, East Lobby with Mrs. Hart, or South Lobby with Mrs. Criste.
*Elementary parents need to pick up their carpool tags in their youngest students’ classroom.
*Upper school students will get their carpool tags from their Bible teacher’s classroom.
*Maps of classrooms will be available on the LCA parent app by the end of next week
UPPER SCHOOL CLASS SCHEDULES:
*These can be accessed through RenWeb by the end of next week. If you have difficulty accessing your schedule, please call Mrs. Hart. It would be wise for students in grades 6-12 to have access to that schedule while visiting classrooms on the night of the 4th.
*If your student has questions regarding their schedule please contact Mr. Morris or Mrs. Walters.
INFORMATION TABLES IN THE SOUTH LOBBY:
* Athletics Table – Receive information on sports physicals, booster club, athletic handbook, and a great opportunity to connect with our coaches.
*LCAPA (Lanier Christian Academy Parent Association) Table – This table will have information about volunteering in various capacities at LCA, including lunchroom volunteers.
*Georgia GOAL – Sign up to redirect your state taxes to Lanier Christian Academy at this table.
*Technology Help – Need help navigating the LCA App or getting a username and password for your student? Come see Mrs. Hart for help here.
*Yearbook Table – Mrs. Gruver will have forms for the yearbook available.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TEARS OR CHEERS and JERICHO PRAYER WALK
Lastly, we want to invite you to join us in the parking lot after carpool on the first day of school, August 5th. We will be hosting a “Tears or Cheers” meeting where we can pray a blessing over the students, staff, and school year. Free coffee will be available for anyone who is able to join us at the lightning wagon. This will also serve as the first day of our Jericho Prayer Walk. Details about the prayer walk will be discussed in the big group meeting.
This is going to be another amazing year at LCA! Enjoy these last days of summer with your family, and know that we are already praying for you. We’re so thankful that you are here, and we can’t wait to see you!
Thank You,
