Chapel at LCA

The weekly elementary chapels are designed to encourage the students to worship and praise of God.  Music specifically chosen for younger students and lessons from teachers and guest speakers teach biblical truth on their level.  Developing Christ-like character and nurturing spiritual growth are the goals of elementary chapel.

Upper School Chapel is divided into 6th – 7th grade and 8th – 12th grade meeting times which weekly alternate between services focused on worship through the teaching of God’s Word and musical worship, and discipleship groups.  For our 6th and 7th graders, these groups are led by faculty and staff and are focused on applying basic Biblical truths to their lives.  Our 8th – 12th grade discipleship groups are led by faculty/staff, faithful and willing upperclassmen, and parents within the LCA family, taking a greater focus on accountability, individual growth, and direct application of the Word of God.

Progressively through the year we involve more students in the planning, presentation and performance of our Chapel time which provides discipleship opportunities and develops leadership skills.  We believe greater growth occurs when students are investing and allowing God to use them among their peers rather than just being a participant from the seats.
