Counseling

Lanier Christian Academy seeks to enhance students’ overall development by providing emotional, spiritual, and socially-focused support in the form of individual and group counseling as a free service available to all enrolled students.

In keeping with our commitment to partner with parents, we are dedicated to developing supportive, meaningful, and ongoing relationships with both students and parents. Our goal is to ensure that every family is given the support and encouragement they need to make informed, prayerful decisions concerning the direction of each student’s life, not just academically, but also spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

The counselor and campus pastor work together to serve both male and female students. Female students meet with the counselor, while male students meet with the campus pastor. Short-term individual and/or group sessions are offered to help students navigate particular life issues. Students may initiate an appointment to meet with the counselor/campus pastor or may be referred by a parent, teacher, coach, or administrator. The counselor is also available to provide support and assistance to families as they navigate crises and emergency situations. We provide indirect services on behalf of students including referrals/resources for additional assistance, consultation, and collaboration with parents, teachers, and other mental health professionals as needed.
