Missions

Missions

At Lanier Christian Academy, missions is the result of our heart for the world. We desire that all of the students develop a heart for the lost, those less fortunate, and the oppressed. In addition to talking about and praying for them, we try to provide opportunities for our students to “GO” and serve others.

There are opportunities for our students to serve locally and domestically, and globally. Our ministry to impoverished children in Jamaica is one example. We collect money and support to enable our sponsored children to attend school by providing tuition, a uniforms, books, and a lunch in conjunction with ACE (American Caribbean Experience) whom we have partnered with the last 13 years. Then, after school ends in the spring, we send a mission team of students (9th-12th grade), faculty, and parents to Jamaica for a week.

In addition to our Jamaica team, we have many students who go on short-term trips with their churches. We provide them prayer cover and the opportunity to share their experience with the other students. We want all of our students to think outside their comfort zone, to realize, pray, and go reach others with the good news of the Gospel of Christ. It is our desire that each of our students would develop an authentic heart for others and know how to reach out with the passion of God, the compassion to help, and the knowledge to share Jesus with their neighbors, nations, and next generation (those students coming up behind them).
