THE KNIGHT FAMILY
–Why did you choose LCA for your child?
I chose LCA for my daughter because I was looking for a school to partner with me to help form a strong moral and spiritual foundation while providing a quality education for her. I stayed with LCA because not only is it their mission statement to do that, but they also follow through with their statement. I witness students, teachers and staff here openly demonstrating and modeling Christian principals while striving for teaching excellence.
–What do you love most about LCA?
I love that the curriculum incorporates God and His creation no matter the subject. I also love having the option of the University Model which allows me to have a more direct role in her learning. Homeschooling exposes her to more unique experiences and personalized learning while classroom learning provides her with an education that is overseen by trained professionals to allow a different experience.
–What is one word that best describes the school? Tell us why you chose that word.
Christian-Family. LCA has embraced us in every way, exhibiting Jesus’ commandment in Matthew 22:39 “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Human beings naturally love and care for themselves and at times care for others but not necessarily equally as they do for themselves. LCA treats us like real family and with our best interest in mind.
–In what ways have you seen your child grow and develop as a result of their experience at LCA?
I witness important components of LCA’s core values in my daughter: a moral and spiritual formation that the Bible teaches us. My daughter also has a passion for learning at LCA due to the unique ways they can teach and how much effort and time they put into teaching.
–How is LCA preparing your child for college and beyond?
LCA is challenging my daughter mentally, socially, and academically while disciplining her to be a Christ-centered leader. The teachers at LCA are very passionate about their jobs and the success of their students. This fosters curiosity and love for knowledge that will follow my daughter into her college career helping to ensure her future academic success. LCA is also teaching her to remain strong and confident in the Word of God while facing other worldviews.
–What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at LCA?
Our children are being exposed to a variety of world views. LCA provides a safe nurturing environment in which children learn to make ethical and moral choices based on a spiritual foundation over their lifetime. Having peers who have the same values helps to complete a nurturing environment at LCA and reinforces positive habits as well as positive attitudes. Whether you choose the University or the Traditional model, you will be satisfied and feel secure in the education and experience your child is receiving. The decision you make today will shape who your child will become when he or she grows up. At LCA, you are investing in your child’s future, and you will be welcomed into a Christ-centered environment. As parents, you will gain a supportive community with the same spiritual goals.
